Hi, the questions you ask cover so much I'm not sure where to start.
As far as jobs, they are plentiful if your talents are in any of the service industries that cater to tourists. But that tends to be seasonal for some businesses.
Neighborhoods: There are hundreds and hundreds of neighborhoods, quite varied, so my suggestion would be to visit several times, look around, get a feel for the area, call a few real estate agents, tell them what you're looking for in a neighborhood, and they should be able to match up your needs with several choices of neighborhoods.
Same with housing prices. Real estate agents should be able to help you there as well.
Being tired of the cold winters in PA is understandable, and you won't have to worry with that when you relocated down here.
If your husband loves golf, I imagine this is an ideal area to relocate.
